Artistic activities to cope with stress

This module is open to all those who wish to experience art as a tool to lower stress levels and to increase concentration and balance.

Art, in particular coloring mandalas and creating origami, are activities that relax the mind, prolong the ability to concentrate and allow one to express one's thoughts and emotions, manifest feelings.

In this course, the therapeutic qualities of art will merge with those of nature - in fact, the subjects of mandalas and origami will be related to naturalistic themes.

Units covered in the module:

  • Art therapy and its benefits on the individual.

  • Mandalas: analysis of the specific benefits of coloring; the choice and use of colors; balance training.

  • Origami: analysis of the benefits of the origami activity. Focus on simplicity, and connection with concentration training.
